My experience as a relationship therapist allows me to expand my practice into Dating and Relationship Coaching using many of the modalities that have been incorporated in my therapy techniques. With Coaching the difference is that it provides expedited resolutions and with therapy, we are looking at past childhood wounds that are impacting our relationships in adulthood and why we attract who we attract and why we choose specific partners. Dating and Relationship Coaching works more with current issues that are impacting our social and interpersonal relationships in the here and now as opposed to looking at the past.
Conversely, Relationship Coaching deals more with the current issues that are causing a disruption in the relationship. These can and may be resolved easier than therapy because we deal with the here and now, as opposed to the past. However, it would be impossible not to look at the past to see the connection to the issues that arise in the present, if this is the case then I would recommend a few therapy sessions.
